HISTORY

ALPHA CHI HISTORY
The Alpha Chi Chapter is the 46th chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi.
Alpha Chi originated at the College of Mines and Metallurgy of the University of Texas (now known as The University of Texas at El Paso). Alpha Chi was originally chartered April 5, 1947 with Charles A. Wiley serving as the installing officer. The Ritual and Installation Team consisted of members of the Alpha and Alpha Omicron chapters. Charter members of the Alpha Chi chapter included: Arthur Graves, Robert Graves, Carlos Hickerson Jr., Malcolm McDonald, James Wadley, Samuel Middleton Jr., Charles McBride Jr., Orville Gower, Jack McGurk, and James Zimmerman.
The Alpha Chi Chapter remained inactive until 2016 when the Founding Fathers took on the challenge of reviving UTEP's Alpha Chi Chapter. Alpha Chi was then re-chartered on November 29, 2016.
