ABOUT
The Alpha Chi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi is an integral organization serving the University of Texas at El Paso Band Program. With musicianship, leadership, brotherhood, and service motivating the fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi strives for the highest in responsibility, loyalty, leadership, and brotherhood throughout all of its work. Alpha Chi encourages the growth of bands and other music ensembles throughout the city of El Paso, through service with the UTEP Bands, and other projects throughout the community.

Alpha Chi strives for the highest and maintains a level of professionalism through consistency within UTEP's Department of Music and the act of brotherhood, service, musicianship, and leadership.
What is Kappa Kappa Psi?

Kappa Kappa Psi is a National Honorary Band Fraternity founded in Stillwater, Oklahoma at Oklahoma State University on November 27, 1919.

When were we founded?

The Alpha Chi Chapter was originally founded on April 5, 1947 and was re-chartered on November 29, 2016.

The Alpha Chi Chapter is located at The University of Texas At El Paso in El Paso, Texas.

Who are we?
​
The Alpha Chi chapter is committed to musicianship, leadership, and service. The chapter has received the Superior Achievement Award in 2019 and 2020 along with the Early Bird Award in 2017, 2018, and 2020. The chapter has also earned the Southwest District Andy Armadillo Award in 2018. Our chapter also has two Southwest District Officers, Ayleen Sanchez as Vice-President for Membership and Patrick Caraveo as Secretary-Treasurer.
